Terms of Service

Tovely helps adults explore meaningful connections. These terms explain the service, your responsibilities, and the limits of AI-assisted matchmaking.

About these terms

These terms are between you and Tovely.ai, based in Quebec, Canada, operated by [REGISTERED LEGAL ENTITY NAME, IF DIFFERENT], at [MAILING ADDRESS], Quebec, Canada. Initial markets are Canada and the United States. Contact: [PUBLIC CONTACT EMAIL]. Effective date: [TO BE CONFIRMED].

These are proposed terms for review and are not an operative agreement while marked as a draft. Before launch, the final terms will explain when and how you agree to them.

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18, meet the age of majority where you live if higher, and be legally able to enter into an agreement to use Tovely. Use the platform to seek a genuine relationship, give accurate information about yourself, and upload only content you have the right to share.

Keep your sign-in credentials secure, do not let others impersonate you, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized use. Do not create an account for another person without authorization or use the service to evade a suspension.

What Tovely provides

Tovely offers AI-guided interviews, generated profiles, compatibility recommendations, member messaging, and related features such as conversation prompts and date check-ins. Feature and match availability depend on the service configuration and participating members.

AI-generated profiles, scores, explanations, guidance, and venue suggestions can be incomplete or wrong. They are not guarantees of compatibility, character, safety, or relationship success. A score is not a probability of a successful relationship.

Tovely does not replace your judgment or professional psychological, medical, legal, or religious advice. Do not treat a match recommendation as identity verification or a background check. Confirm venue details and suitability yourself.

Your decisions and safety

You decide whether to accept your profile, express interest, communicate, or meet. Review generated content and raise inaccuracies before relying on it.

Respect other members’ choices and boundaries. Use the report and block tools for concerns. For an immediate threat or emergency, contact local emergency services; Tovely is not an emergency response service.

Take care when meeting someone new, including choosing a public setting, making your own travel arrangements, and telling someone you trust. Do not send money or financial credentials to someone you meet through the platform.

Acceptable use

Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, stalk, exploit, defraud, or impersonate another person. Do not post unlawful content, non-consensual intimate images, or sexual content involving minors. Do not pressure another member for private information or continued contact.

Do not publish another member’s profile, photos, private messages, or feedback without permission. Do not use Tovely for unsolicited advertising, fundraising, scraping member data, or building a competing database.

Do not bypass access controls, misuse reports, interfere with the service, or use automated tools to access other members’ information without authorization.

Your content and AI-generated profiles

You keep the rights you hold in content you provide. You give Tovely a non-exclusive permission to store, process, reproduce, and display it as reasonably needed to operate the service for you, including using service providers for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy.

This permission includes generating profiles and match explanations and displaying relevant profile information and selected interview excerpts to potential matches. It does not grant permission to use your identity or private content in advertising.

You can remove content or close your account using the available controls, subject to the retention and technical limitations explained in the Privacy Policy. You must have permission to upload photos or information belonging to someone else.

Privacy and feedback

Read the Privacy Policy to understand how interview content, sensitive profile information, messages, and feedback are processed and shared. Accepting these terms does not replace any separate consent required for sensitive-data processing.

Private date feedback may inform future matching, and combined feedback from multiple members may inform general guidance. Do not assume that anything sent to another member can be recalled or prevented from being copied.

Fees and paid features

Any paid offer must disclose its price, billing frequency, renewal terms, cancellation method, and applicable refund rights before you agree to pay. These terms alone do not authorize a charge.

[BEFORE PUBLICATION: Confirm whether launch is free or paid. If paid, insert actual billing, renewal, cancellation, refund, and statutory withdrawal terms for Canada and applicable US states. Assess Quebec rules for dating-service contracts and distance contracts. Mandatory cancellation or refund rights prevail over any conflicting policy. Payment functionality is controlled by a release switch; this draft does not establish a pricing policy.]

Pausing, suspension, and ending use

You can pause membership or delete your account through account controls. Pausing retains your information. Deletion removes shared conversations from both participants’ accounts, subject to the limitations described in the Privacy Policy.

We may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, protect members, comply with law, or address a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will explain the reason and provide a way to request review through [PUBLIC CONTACT EMAIL].

We may change or discontinue features. If changes affect paid services or contractual rights, we will provide the notice and remedies required by applicable law.

Service limitations and liability

We aim to provide a useful service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, error-free AI output, a particular number of introductions, or a relationship outcome. Members are responsible for their own conduct.

Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. [BEFORE PUBLICATION: Have local counsel settle any permitted warranty exclusions and liability limits for the operator and launch markets. This draft intentionally sets no arbitrary liability cap.]

Law, disputes, and updates

Subject to mandatory protections that apply where you live, these terms are governed by Quebec law and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Nothing in these terms takes away a consumer’s right to bring a claim in a court available under applicable law. This draft includes no mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver.

Contact [PUBLIC CONTACT EMAIL] with a concern or dispute so we can try to resolve it. We will publish dated updates and give notice of material changes as required by law. Where renewed agreement is required, we will request it before the changes apply.

[BEFORE PUBLICATION: Confirm this clause with counsel for the Canada/US launch. Prepare and provide the French version and any required language-choice process for Quebec contracts; this English draft does not waive French-language rights.]
